Our farm is nestled on the fertile land atop Chestnut Ridge in North-East Anderson County, near Norris, TN.
We are family-owned and operated, and have been selling produce to farmers markets for 9 years in the Knoxville-Oak Ridge area. We've had the farm for more than 35 years. Through the years we've tried our hands with cattle, quail, and hogs. The vegetable and fruit sales started as a hobby a few years back to share the extras from our abundant garden. It grew every year and now the whole family's involved.
We maintain many sustainable and organic practices, but do not claim to be organic. Our soil is nurtured by adding mulch and compost, we rotate crops from year to year, and plant beneficial cover crops. Our farm works in harmony to sustain a healthy, fertile and biologically active environment. We work hard to operate as sustainably as possible, by reusing and reducing our waste as well as selling all of our produce locally. From farm to market our produce travels only 25 miles or less, which means it is picked daily, and always fresh.
Our motto is quality and taste first. Our entire organization is graded to this end, from our choice of seed to our soil maintenance. Except for its size, it is the same family garden and orchard we have always had.
