Farm Crew
We are looking for folks who enjoy working outside. We need individuals who can work Monday - Friday, and half a day Saturday. The work day typically begins at 8am, and we normally work a 10 hour day with 30 minutes for lunch. This primary part of this position is harvesting produce. You will do some transplanting, and some other general farm tasks. You may learn some from being here and doing things, but we will always be short on time during the season. We do not have time to teach you about farming, as this is not an internship. The field work is very strenuous. You need to be able to bend over for long periods, work on your knees and in crouch positions, and easily lift heavy objects (50 lbs or more). Working in 80 -100 degree heat with high humidity and no shade for the entire day will be part of the job, and conversely working in the rain. We need individuals who can work the same set schedule through the summer, May through September.
